Being lakeside, all rooms in our Bed and Breakfast have outstanding views over Lake Rotorua to Mokoia Island and beyond, it will seem that the lake belongs just to you. There is a lovely walk along the lake edge to a wet lands area. The lake is very safe for swimming and for a closer look at the lake feel free to make use of our Perception kayaks, buoyancy aids are provided. Your hosts Carol and Ken Saxby have travelled widely around the world and have lived and worked in New Zealand, The United Kingdom and The Middle East.
Ken, a Business Manager and Civil Engineer and Carol, a Primary School Teacher, are now enjoying hosting Bed & Breakfast guests in their unique Rotorua home and will be happy to pass on their extensive local knowledge and share stories from around the world.

Public transport between the airport and city centre picks up and drops off right outside the gate of The Lake House. The number 10 bus leaves Pukuatua St at 5 mins to and 25 mins past the hour arriving at the Lake House at 7 mins past and 23 mins to the hour.
Rotorua became an international gateway in December 2009 and has 2 flights from Sydney a week on Saturdays and Tuesdays. By arrangement, we are happy to pick up and drop off from Rotorua airport which is less than a five minute drive away.
